I would love to buy a gift card online but can see no way to do that. Do you know an email address?
Good coffee, nice carrot cake and friendly staff.
Lukewarm latte 👎🏼
Excellent London fog and food. Great environment, very friendly and promotes interactions with others around. Very socially inviting.
Fast and friendly service, community vibe
Been going here for years, better than Starbucks but, then again every other coffee shop is better than Starbucks.
I tried their rooibos tea latte (red latte) and carrot cake. Both were good. Outdoor seating has many seats and is one of the nice offers of this cafe
Great place to park your motorcycles and hang on the porch with your mates overlooking your bikes and all the Cook St. scene.
The moka was nice but the chocolate settled to the bottom so the end was very sweet. The vegan mini donuts were very dry. I ordered a chocolate one and a vanilla one and ended up chocolate and carrot. To top it off the carrot donut had a huge coffee bean inside of it too and biting into it could have chipped my teeth.
One of the best cafes in Victoria! So many memories created here. Beacon Hill park is just down the road if you walk down Pendergast, and the beach is just down Cook St if you head toward Dallas Rd. You can also access Beacon Hill park from Dallas Rd. (Turn right on Dallas from Cook St.)
I got a vegan and gluten free coffee with a vegan brownie and I feel like I helped save the planet. Also both were delicious and the staff was friendly.
I liked the cafe for its unique location! Cool Street Village right across from Starbucks. I must say the food choice is good especially first thing in the morning. The staff was friendly and the line ups short.
This place is ultra cute and really knows how to make a killer London fog. Did I mention the staff are the friendliest, too? This is mtly partners favourite cafe for good reason, I have come to know :)
Cook St Village Moka House offers a fantastic people-watching patio, good music at a reasonable volume for conversation, excellent lighting to get work done, yummy snacks, and the best lattes in town if you are lucky enough to have one of the more experienced baristas at the helm
Total hipster joint. Super cute though. Great latte art!
Great local coffee house with wonderful vibe. Wish the decaf was Swiss water
Lovely outdoor patio with great service and very good food.
Great coffee, very comfy vibe. Great little neighborhood hangout with excellent people watching potential
Great location to enjoy a wonderful coffee on Cook Street. Where locals hangout. Highly recommended.
Great spot to grab a bite and hangout with free wifi or just go to have a good coffee! Nice central location. Great service. Will definitely be returning soon. Cheers !
This quaint coffee shop is across the road from Starbucks. If you are bent on avoiding Starbucks, come here, instead and you can support local merchants. However, we came on a Sunday and the tables were not clean and the restroom needed tidying. Usual coffee shop items, very laid back crowd. In all, it's okay.
They are called the Moka house for a reason. Try a mocha, you wont be dissapointed.
Great coffee..treats smoothies and teas..awesome front patio for people watching and sunny days..trendy and fun..great baristas good service...it gets very busy on sunny days
Cozy neighbourhood coffee shop, with a good amount of space and convenient hours for group study sessions. The london fog is amazing
Awesome coffee shop. They have great staff and good coffee, all while keeping it fresh with new specials and creative drinks. It is the only local coffee that is open this late and it is one of my favorite places on the island! I'd suggest trying to walk there as parking is hard to find and tight when you find one.
Nice place, and great staff. Tasty drinks and baked goods. But have been let down by the sandwiches/wraps before. Also the place tends to be a little of the crowded sided, so you have to pick and choose your time to go if you want to avoid crowds.
Cozy, bit crowd with local customers. Coffee and pie was fine.
Great little coffee house. Good coffee, good food. I love the raspberry muffins. Nice atmosphere. Every time we make a trip to Victoria we end up at Moka House Coffee. There are tables inside but the weather is always so mild we end up sitting on the deck outside. It's a deck facing the street so there is always activity going on. There is also a water dish for dogs sitting out front for the dog walkers to stop by with their pets. Very relaxing and laid back.
One of my favourite cafes, been going here since I was very young. Very good coffee and great food at a good price. Service is very friendly, and there's lots of places to sit. I suggest the Spinach Bistro.
Great neighbourhood cafe vibes. Good coffee. Nice staff. Not a lot of gluten free options but a couple. Great people watching and lots of spots to sit and work cafe. Music jams on sundays are a treat!
Delicious array of pastries. Nice ambiance. Very busy.
Friendly staff, good music, GF food, reasonable price.
Really polite staff, your quintessential cozy neighborhood coffee shop. Lots of space to really enjoy your coffee and chat.We had a slice of their carrot cake too. It was amazing we had it warmed up and it totally hit the spot.
Really popular coffee shop, good snacks and sunny area outside.
Great outdoor seating but very overrated. The service is fine but not particularly friendly. I’ve taken off a star because I’m a tea drinker and they’ve switched to cheap tea. $5 for a medium London Fog made with a Lipton tea bag is so not cool. There are at least three other coffee shops in the village who provide a better quality beverage for that price.
Men’s bathroom stinKs up half the room! It smells like a poorly maintained greyhound bus bathroom, I hope the owner renovates that thing one day. I have to sit on the other side of the room and it’s been that way for more than a year.
Comfy place, always filled with locals. Coffee and baked goods are pretty mediocre.
Great place to relax, grab a coffee in trendy Cook street village. Take your coffee to ocean and walk along with water views by Dallas road, which is also very close. Great service, too.
Normally, I wouldn't critique a coffee house so harshly, however the service and experience here is subpar at the most. The Coffee House was quite busy, however totally normal for cafe. It was nice to be able to sit with our dogs on the patio. However when it came time to order, the barista forgot one of my drinks. We ordered two spinach pastries, and a chocolate pastry and asked all to be heated. She forgot to heat the chocolate pastry, when I reminded her she heated it for two minutes, making it inedible. The coffee with milk was filled to the absolute top and spilled everywhere outside. The remaining hot chocolate, Americano drink and spinach pastry were nothing to write home about. I'd recommend skipping this place.
Good coffee, sufficient tables (most times) to find a seat. They could have more breakfast bun items to avoid running out as early as they do.
#dontmess around with this amazing chill location. My top spot for meeting up, reading, journaling and working on my laptop. Staff is a nunch of good people who I appreciate.
Great staff, lovely atmosphere with a nice heated patio. It's a great place to linger. The patio is pet friendly, with many an adorable pupper.
The staff, the vibe.. everything is great about this place :)
Moka House is a great neighbourhood coffee stop. A lovely complement of eats or sweets to go with your coffee of choice. Indoor or outdoor seating on Cook street for people watching.
Delicious coffee, wide (free) selection of sweeteners and milk alternatives as well.
Friendly staff, great spot to people watch and a cleaning policy that makes you feel comfortable bring there!
Cozy. That is the best word to describe this place. They have heaters on the patio that work very well. The desserts are generous. The staff is pleasant. The atmosphere is wholesome. I'm a big fan of this place. The prices are on the higher end of coffee shops. But this is a higher end coffee shop.
One of the better coffee shops in town. They have a good selection and a nice patio to sit on if you want to be outside or big open windows so you can get some sunlight if you want to stay indoors
always love coming to moka house, the coffee is excellent and the baristas are super cute :)
Great atmosphere and nice staff.
Good coffee house always has had a steady stream of customers and even more so since Serious Coffee shut down in March, 2018. When really busy, finding inside sitting is a challenge and only option is outside patio, which can be full too. It was ultra packed during Cook Street Village block party and I just did not have the patience to wait in line.Overall, service is good. It is a place for students to hang out and do their school work and stuff on their computers. Diverse people come to Cook Street Moka House and a time lapse photography during busy times would be an interesting clip for sure.Would be a good venue for something like a circle song group once a week but space could be a challenge displacing customers. It is a good place for me to sip my tea, read whatever newspaper lying around, and then stroll home.
